PTCWA’s Outstanding Professional Service Awards in this COVID-19 disrupted year, are being replaced with an initiative to showcase each Member Association.
Suggested by our just retired but still contributing PTCWA Treasurer Val Baird: this concept is expected to accelerate awareness and participation in each Member Association as the 2021 year starts.
As we all hope the lockdown severity continues to reduce, with care, in WA: The concept has within it a capacity to in/decrease actual attendee numbers.

PTCWA Awards for 2021 if COVID-19 rules allow
The PTCWA Outstanding Professional Service Awards recognise an individual member’s outstanding professional contribution to education in Western Australia, made in a voluntary capacity to their professional teachers’ association. This provides the opportunity for each financial member association of PTCWA to consider the work of their members and nominate a worthy recipient. The Professional Teaching Council of Western Australia has as its objective the promotion of professionalism in teaching through an enhancement of the work of professional education associations. It provides a wider context for the work of professional associations through facilitation of networking and communication between individual associations whilst providing a forum for the discussion of broad educational thought and current issues. Award Form for 2021 will be available in the new year!
